edith

she's really wrong about the books, that japanese art of tidying up is; my books do give me real joy. ok fine, i'm listening to Holly Golightly on my computer and edith piaf on the phonograph, so maybe i'm a little nuts. i am listening to both, though. add much? just grabbed Jean Stafford's The Mountain Lion, which i bought after reading "Children are bored on Sunday" in one of those anthologies. That story is often anthologized. But this mountain lion, i can tell it's got a lot of good to go. i didn't know anything about Jean Stafford. I didn't know she was married to the Poet Robert Lowell.

Blogger is so smart

It has me in "polynesia" . I think that's an awesome 1940s term. Like the orient express.
